My journey to guiding
I am Konstantina Kalimeri, a certified tourist guide (License No: 33ΣΞ03018Ε1).
II grew up in Neo Monastiri, a small village in Central Greece, where my passion for antiquity sparked at a very young age. With ongoing excavations in my area—including a temple of goddess Demeter right next to my house—history was always alive around me. I was brought up in a close-knit community, learning local traditions and hearing fascinating stories passed down through generations.
My path wasn't always direct; I studied Chemistry and Oenology in Thessaloniki, Greece's second-largest city, and even worked as a teacher. Yet, a flame for guiding kept burning within me, waiting for the right moment. After experiencing the changes brought by Covid, I realized that dreams are meant to be pursued, leading me to apply to the School of Tourist Guides in Thessaloniki.
The state-run School of Tourist Guides is renowned for its exceptional educational quality, having been previously awarded as the best professional school in Europe by the EU's Cedefop organization. It delivers comprehensive training through in-depth theory (covering history, archaeology, thematic tourism, tourist guiding techniques, and more) and extensive practical excursions across Greece.
In my free time you'll often find me dancing Greek traditional dances or playing the toubeleki (a traditional drum) and singing.
My tours are provided in the following languages: English, French, Greek

My guiding philosophy
Today, I proudly pursue my passion, striving to provide informative, fun, and engaging tours throughout Greece. My greatest joy comes from getting to know the people I guide, allowing me to tailor each tour precisely to their needs and interests. My ultimate goal is for your trip to Greece to transform you in a good way, leaving you with a lasting inspiration—a seed planted by a story heard or a sight seen, that continues to grow long after you've returned home.
